Hounds
A hound dog is one which is used during hunting to track prey. They typically have excellent abilities to follow scents. Some have excellent levels of stamina which is needed for tracking scents over long ranges.
Hounds are typically split into 2 groups.
Scent Hounds which track the prey by following a scent. There are different types of scent hounds, Most breeds within this group have some of the best senses of smell of all dogs.
Sight Hounds need the essence of speed as breeds within this group are primarily bred to
keep prey within its sights and catch and kill it.
