About Us
My name is Adam and it was my idea to create this dog web site, the completedogsguide.com. I’m aiming to achieve a number of things.
Firstly I want to build the world’s number one authority site on dogs. Yes I set my goals high and I certainly do my best to achieve them. It will be a long ongoing and hopefully very enjoyable task.
I want the site to be interactive for the visitors and also build a community who can interact with each other and help each other out with different dog problems or just discuss amusing dog stories, or mix with owners of there favourite breeds.
I myself have been interested in dogs for many years, just in the everyday sense and on a par with most dog owners. I have only ever had 1 dog at a time. I’ve never bred dogs and only once been to a proper dog training class. Although I did have a few one to one or small group training sessions a few years ago.
Over the last couple of years I have been more interested in dogs, firstly after I was suggested to read the Dog Listener by Jan Fennel. It was the first time I had read about solving dog problems based on treating a dog how it would be treated by a pack leader. I read her book, bought her dvd and watched a couple of her 30 minute programmes when I caught them on a Sky TV channel.
More recently however, I have discovered the Dog Whisper, Cesar Milan. I absolutely love his show and his expertise with dogs. I have learnt a lot from him, especially because now I've been fortunate enough to be in a position to have recorded his shows, so I don't miss a single one.
He is one of the inspirations for this web site. I want to dedicate time and effort to building the best alround informative dog web site and help people get a better alround understanding of there dogs.
You can read more about my life with dogs so far in Adam's Dogs with which I end that page by saying "if a person learns by there mistakes, then I've alot to teach."
My Web site Goals
I view my success by the number of people that visit and view pages of the web site. The more the better. A goal is not a goal unless you write it down, so I was once told, so here they are.
My Goals for the site are:
1)Provide a really useful source of information for anyone interested in all aspects of dogs. This content doesn't specifically have to be on my web site, if don't have it I'll link to the best sources of dog information. I'll basically be aiming to create an authority web site. The authority dog web site!
2)I want to produce one of the most viewed web sites on the net. My ultimate goal is 3 million visitors a month and 15 million page views a month.
I'll keep you updated on my progress via the complete dogs guide blog.
