Dog Breeds

I'm from the United Kingdom so primarily I'm going to use the UK Kennel Club breed groupings which are as follows:

Gundogs
Hounds
Pastoral Dogs
Terriers
Toy Dogs
Utility Dogs
Working Dogs

Other international Kennel clubs use different grouping systems, which may refer to at times or certainly if it’s a breed not recognised within the UK Kennel club.

There's alot more to different dog breeds than just there appearance and whether they are small or large.. Our dog breed pages are full of information about each specific dog breed covering the most important breeds aspects you should consider when choosing a dog breed.

Even for existing owners, learning more and getting a better understanding about your own dog breed may help with any problem issues.

Different breeds can have wide ranging different needs and characteristics.

From each dog breed page we also provide information on breeders and puppies for sale and specific breed rescue centers.

Remember that each dog breed is different. Some dog breeds require lots of time that you will have to dedicate to groom and to exercise. Some dog breeds require little or no exercise but other dog breeds may require a walk three times every day. Please make sure you are making the right decision when you choose which dog breed is right for you. Browse our dog breeds pages below for each dog breed. This is an extensive list and includes many rare breeds.
