Appearance

Colours Blue merle, red, merle, black, red, colours, with or without white or tan markings.

Temperament Active, lively, strong minded

Height and Weight 46 - 58cm in height and 16 - 32 Kg in weight. Males are larger at the top end of the ranges, while the smaller females are at the lower end of the ranges.

Common Health Problems Considered a healthy breed however, known problems are reported to have been hip malformation, dislocating kneecaps, and various eye problems including progressive retinal atrophy, collie eye anomaly, lens dislocation and glaucoma.

Living Conditions This breed is best suited to the wide open space of the country. It needs plenty of exercise and free running.

Exercise Requirements A very active working breed which needs alot of daily exercise and activities. Plenty of free running in the country or running / jogging with owners.

Training Requirements An average breed to train, but they can be trained to a high level in obedience and also do well in agility trials. Encouraging training is best along with some patience.

Life Expectancy 12 - 13 years.

Grooming This breeds dense coats needs a good brush at least a couple of times a week.
