General Breed Information

The Miniature Aussidoodle is a hybrid breed created by crossing a Miniature Australian Shepherd and a Poodle This is a relatively new crossbreed recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club.

Miniature Aussiedoodle are intelligent, friendly and energetic dogs - they make ideal family pets and while not overly yappy they are alert, loyal and protective and will bark if someone approaches the home. Highly appealing dogs they are often likened to teddy bear. They are easy to train and enjoy learning new tricks and games.

Miniature Aussidoodles typically have soft, curly to wavy coats although some can be smooth and they come in a variety of colours. They are very low shedders and can be suitable for people who may be allergic to dogs. When fully grown they will average from 15 to 25 pounds with a shoulder height approx 10-15 inches.
