General Breed Information
The Giant Schnoodle is not considered a purebred dog, but rather as a designer or hybrid dog. This breed was created by crossing the Poodle with the Giant Schnauzer. Dogs of this breed are usually great with children, which is why they are often acquired as family pets. The Designer Dogs Kennel Club and the American Canine Hybrid Club both recognize the Giant Schnoodle.
Giant Schnoodles are large dogs that have a weight ranging from 65 to 80 pounds. Male Giant Schnoodles have a height that measures between 25½ and 27½ inches, while females are several inches shorter. The ears of these dogs are left naturally and hang down the sides of their head. Their coat can be wiry or woolly. Some specimens of this breed are non-shedding, but there are also those that shed. Owners of this breed should brush the coat of their dogs regularly and bathe them when necessary.
