General Breed Information

The Broodle Griffon, also sometimes referred to as the Brus-a-Poo, is a cross between the Poodle and the Brussels Griffon. Although its exact history is unclear, this designer breed is said to have originated in Afghanistan. The Broodle Griffon is recognized by the Designer Dogs Kennel Club and the American Canine Hybrid Club. Due to their intelligent and happy temperament, dogs of this breed are usually kept as family companions.

Broodle Griffons are small dogs that have a height of 8 to 14 inches and a weight that ranges from 7 to 15 pounds. These dogs have a medium length, curly coat that can come in any colour. These dogs should be brushed or combed once a day, and they should also be bathed on a regular basis. Their coat should also be clipped once every two months. Owners should also clean the ears of these dogs regularly.

When properly taken care of, Broodle Griffons can live for approximately 12 to 15 years.
