Even if you can't rehome a dog you can still offer even the smallest of donations or help the rescue centers in other ways.
Richardson Rescue, located in York, South Carolina. They seek forever homes for every animal they take in.
Dirty Paws Rescue, Inc Located in Evansville, IN. They take in Mainly Bulldogs (American, English, Olde English, etc) but also take in Mastiff breeds, Rottweilers and Pit Bulls. We also have a small breed branch that takes in mainly Yorkies and other small breeds under 20lbs.
Jazzin Around Rescue - Saving Dogs and Puppies of Middle Tennessee. There mission is to provide temporary shelter, comfort abused or neglected dogs and as well as find new homes. They have a number of dogs available for adoption. They also need help and support in various ways, so visit them and see if you can help out in anyway.

WhipStaff Ranch and Rescue help rescue and care for many animals, not just dogs. They work in conjunction with a number of foster care homes for animals.
