The Poolky, also known as the Silkypoo, is a cross between the Silky Terrier and the Poodle so they are not a purebred dog. Poolkys are recognised by the The Designer Breed Registry and the The International Designer Canine Registry.
Poolkys are low to no shedders making them suitable for some people who may be allergic to other dogs.The Poolky coat should be trimmed around the face regularlyto keep their fur from going over and into their eyes.
Poolkys are small, appealing dogs and make excellent family pets although they do enjoy barking. They are easy to train and good with children.
Well cared for Poolkys can live up to 15 years of age.
