General Breed Information

The Pinny-Poo is a is a cross between the Miniature Pinscher and the Poodle therefore it is a hybrid dog and not a purebred dog. The coats of these dogs vary depending on which of the parents genes dominate - they can be either wiry or curly like their poodle parent or smooth like the miniature Pincher parent. These dogs are no to low shedders and may be suitable for some people who may be allergic to other dogs.

Pinny-Poos are bright, happy, playful dogs. They get on well with children and make ideal family pets. Pinny-Poos are usually quiet dogs not known for being yappy however they may bark if someone approaches the family home. Pinny-Poos are lively dogs and require plenty of exercise to burn up some of their energy - regular vigorous walking plus the freedom to run and jump are essential to keep Pinny Poos happy.

Pinny-Poos are more often than not fit and healthy dogs with no known allergies or inherited health problems associated with this breed. It is worth noting that Pinny Poos feel the cold and may benefit from some kind of dog coat or blanket during cold spells.
