General Breed Information

The Malti-poo is a hybrid breed that was created by crossing the Maltese and the Poodle. Malti-poos have a soft and fluffy coat that will have a slight or curl and comes in a variety of colours typically white but also black, honey and tri-coloured mixes. Low to no shedders the Malti-poo may be suitable for some people who have experienced allergic reactions to other breeds.

Malti-poos are known for their fun loving and affectionate nature and they make wonderful family pets. One thing everyone is going to agree about a Malti-poo is that they are incredibly cute looking dogs - small, fluffy with black button noses they make great lapdogs. Intelligent and alert animals, Malti-poos make good watch dogs and will bark whenever somebody approaches the family home.

The Malti-poo is an energetic dog and will require daily exercise. They are easy to train. Matlti-poos are highly social animals and they are not dogs that can cope with being left alone for long periods of time and it's important that they are housed in the home rather than outside or in kennels.
