General Breed Information

The Irish Doodle (also known as Irish Doodle Setter) is a hybrid breed that was created by crossing the Irish Setter and the Poodle.

Irish Doodles combine the friendliness and happy nature of an Irish Setter, combined with the non-shedding coat of the poodle to create an ideal family dog that are obedient, intelligent, loyal and easy to train. Irish Doodles have lots of energy and will benefit from daily walks and runs if possible. These are medium to large sized dogs that often have a reddish or golden colour coat although the can also be white or white/red mix.

Typically, adult Irish Doodles stand around 25 inches tall and weigh between 50 and 70 pounds. There are no known health issues with these dogs.
