General Breed Information

The Doxiepoo is a designer breed that was created by crossing the Poodle and the Doberman Pinscher. This breed has been granted recognition by the Designer Dogs Kennel Club and the American Canine Hybrid Club. Dogs of this breed are usually acquired as family pets, but they are good watch dogs as well.

Doxiepoos often have a long body like that of a Dachshund. When fully grown, these dogs range from 5 to 15 pounds. The coat of these dogs may be smooth-haired, wirehaired, or longhaired. The coat colours of these dogs include black, dapple, and chocolate. These dogs are non-shedding, but their coat should still be brushed or combed on a regular basis. It can also be trimmed or left naturally.

The average life span of Doxiepoos is 12 to 15 years.
