General Breed Information

The Bich-poo, which is also known as the Poochon, is not considered a purebred dog, but rather as a hybrid or designer dog because it's a mix of two different pure breeds. These breeds are the Poodle and the Bichon Frise. Although the Bich-poo is not recognized by major kennel clubs, it has been granted recognition by the Designer Dogs Kennel Club and the American Canine Hybrid Club.

Bich-poo specimens can vary in appearance, but they are usually 9 to 12 inches tall and 6 to 12 pounds heavy. These dogs have long ears that hang loosely past their chin. Their eyes are round and dark, and they have a large, black nose. Although Bich-poos have a small build, they are still muscular. They have a long tail that is fluffy and hangs low. These dogs have a curly coat that looks fluffy and comes in a wide variety of colours, including black, blue, and cream. Due to their being low shedders, Bich-poos are a great option for individuals who suffer from pet allergies.

These dogs are expected to live for around 12 to 15 years when properly taken care of.
