Origin / History The smallest of the poodle breeds.

Appearance

Colours All one colour, black, white, cream, brown, grey, apricot, and blue.

Temperament

Height and Weight Under 28 cm in height. Between 6.5 - 7.5Kg in weight. Male and females are same weight and height range.

Common Health Problems Can possibly inherit kneecap dislocation, Legg-Perthes disease, eye problems and possibly epilepsy. Bitches can suffer incontinence caused by a malformed ureter.

Living Conditions Toy Poodles are ideally suited for city and apartment life. They will also enjoy life in the country.

Exercise Requirements They need just a standard daily walk. Not as much as the larger poodle breeds.

Training Requirements They are intelligent dogs and do well at learning obedience training.

Life Expectancy 14-15 years.

Grooming The curly coat needs daily grooming to prevent matting. They coat needs clipping every 8 weeks or so, or it will just continue growing.
